Tommy’s Voice is a registered charity dedicated to supporting veterans and their families in the Huddersfield area. Founded by Mick Riley MBE and Jennie, the organization has grown from a CIC into a recognized force for good. They have been invited to Downing Street to discuss veterans' issues with the Prime Minister and the Veterans Minister. Tommy’s Voice collaborates with mainstream charities to provide guidance and assistance to veterans facing barriers to services or struggling with documentation and accessing military records. The organization offers personalized 1-2-1 support, helping veterans and their families navigate the complexities of accessing the support they need.
Mick Riley, a retired WO1 (RSM) with 25 years of service in the British Army, identified the need for grassroots-level support for veterans, particularly those with undiagnosed medical conditions and mental health issues. Tommy’s Voice aims to fill the gaps left by larger charities, offering personalized assistance with paperwork, Veterans ID Cards, and access to services. Jennie and Mick also emphasize the importance of supporting veterans' families, who often recognize changes in their loved ones before the veterans do themselves. Through their efforts, Tommy’s Voice ensures that veterans and their families receive the support and assistance they rightfully deserve.
Tommy's Voice is a registered charity in England.
